Why do we love Tshirts? Because no Tshirt is ever really just a Tshirt. It's a story. And we love stories. Think of your own collection, sat there in your wardrobe right now, and we guarantee that you have something to say about every single one. Sometimes it's the design itself that tells the story: why you loved it and just had to have it. Or, and we find so often the case, they're the reminder of that gig, that place, that person, that time - that memory which you cherish.
We've raided our drawers, and pulled out our top three Tshirts. Some are new, some are old, but they all have something to say.
Episode 3: Saara's Top 3!
My Elephant printed top
My first Tshirt is not technically a Tshirt but I have included it as it has inspired one of the biggest decisions of my life. I bought this top while I was in Boston two years ago. I saw the top and absolutely fell in love with the print and the colours.
I had been thinking of getting a tattoo for about ten years. I had decided where I wanted to get it but I had not quite decided what I wanted it to be. Then, after seeing the elephant print on this top I started playing with the idea of having an elephant tattooed on my arm. Elephants are such beautiful and wise animals, and they also symbolise luck, strength and longevity. Nine months later, I got my tattoo.
My Hackney Half Marathon Tshirt
I received this T-shirt after completing the Hackney Half Marathon in 2016, my first half marathon in the UK! What made it special was that my sister came over from Finland to run it with me. It was her first half marathon and was amazing to share that experience with her.
The Hackney Half Marathon has been the best half marathon I have ever done - it was so much fun! This Tshirt keeps reminding me why I love running.
My Classic Levis
This is the latest addition to my T-shirt collection. I bought it while I was in Jyväskylä, Finland visiting my sister earlier this year.
I am a huge fan of classics, and often would rather wear classic designs than the latest trends. Therefore, this was not a spontaneous purchase, I had listed this on my clothes to buy list. Yes, this is how boring I am sometimes!
I combine this T-shirt with jeans, shorts, skirts, and basically with anything.
