Winner Stays On: An artist versus series which sees emerging and established illustrators and graphic designers pitched against each other in a monthly battle to become the reigning champion.
At 00:00 on 1st of every month, we release two new graphic Tshirt designs, available for sale for just 48 hours. The format is simple, whichever design sells the most is declared the winner, and the artist crowned champion, to compete in the next month’s bout. As the clocks tick over to mark each new month, two new designs will drop, each time available for sale for just 48 hours.
As a bonus feature for our collectors, each month the first five orders of each design will receive a numbered print, signed by the artist. Finally, before the screens are destroyed, one final screen print will be produced and stored in the archives until the gallery exhibition in Autumn 2016, scheduled to celebrate the series so far.
Please note that all Winner Stays On prints are made to order, so please allow up to 10 working days for delivery. For deliveries outside of the UK, please allow a little bit longer.
Tom Sheehan is a UK based artist and illustrator, creating artwork for the music industry, advertising, fashion and the skateboarding industry. He is the Art Director of Pyramid Factory and is one of the co-founders of London based skate company ‘VIDA’.
A cynic of computer editing and Photoshop, all Tom’s work is done by hand. He combines a traditional tattoo style with a raw detailed grittiness, using dot shading to create an organic pen and ink style that is unmistakably his own.
Tom’s drawings are based on a variety of themes. His home studio is full of old books and imagery responsible for most of the ideas for his work which is mostly influenced by mythology, cult horror films, zoology and elements from numerous religions and cultures.
Alexander Luttley, originally from the Welsh valleys and now based in London, is an illustrator, visual artist and physical performer. His calligraphy and artwork has featured in children’s books, comic strips and theatre posters and production.
Alex’s work always has a strong focus on the narrative, with each piece telling intricate multi-layered stories. His delightfully innocent and unimposing style reinforces and compliments his commitment to delivering high quality work without taking itself too seriously.
A sense of irony is prevalent in all forms of his work, along with an exploration of identity, gender and individuality. Growing up in Hong Kong in his early years, and some time spent living in Spain later in life has given his work a heartfelt and varied cultural influence. In addition he draws a great deal of inspiration from his peers in the cabaret scene, where he is an established performer.
